Tickster Pet Scan Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 18, 2026
LexImagine LLC operates Tickster Pet Scan, a mobile app that helps dog owners perform routine tick checks,
keep dog-specific scan history, and share scan context with a veterinarian when useful.
Information We Collect
Tickster may collect account information such as your email address and basic sign-in identifiers. The app
may also store dog profile details you enter, such as dog name, breed, coat details, scan cadence, owner
notes, scan results, scan dates, confidence values, body-area labels, and app/device sync metadata.
If you enable optional snapshot image saving, Tickster saves selected scan snapshots so you can review
them later or share visual context with your veterinarian. Snapshot saving is off by default.
Camera, Location, And Photos
Tickster uses the camera for guided pet tick scan capture. Camera images are processed to support the scan
workflow. Snapshot images are saved only when you enable snapshot saving.
Location permission is optional and foreground-only. When allowed, Tickster may use approximate scan-time
location to add local tick-risk, weather, and pet-health education context to saved scan history. Tickster
does not use background location.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the app, authenticate users, sync pets and scan history across devices,
save optional snapshots, provide support, improve reliability, and present educational pet-health context.
Tickster is a routine screening and record-keeping aid. It does not diagnose disease, confirm infection,
provide treatment, or replace veterinary care.
Sharing
Tickster does not sell your personal information. We do not share saved pet photos or exact personal
location publicly. You may choose to copy or share a vet-ready scan summary from the app.
We may use trusted service providers, including cloud hosting, authentication, database, app store, and
email infrastructure, to operate Tickster.
Security And Retention
We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect app data. No system is perfect, but
we design Tickster to keep account, pet, scan, and optional snapshot data tied to the authenticated user.
We retain information as needed to provide the app, support users, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain
service integrity.
Your Choices
You can decline optional location access. You can leave snapshot image saving off. You can contact us for
support, account questions, or privacy requests.
You can request deletion of selected Tickster data, such as saved snapshots, dog profiles, scan history,
or notes, without deleting your full account.
